Here will be training day updates, target practice sheets, tournament debutes, and extracurricular advancement.
Why Train? Training is essential to successful living. If it wasn't then we would never do anything twice. We would buy something use it once and gave it back. The second time you use it your mind begins to train. All too often we think of training as boring and repetitious. Well of course, we brush our teeth everyday, and everyday we do our mind is training to do it tomorrow. This is now called a habit. Would we even think of going on a date without the use of this "training". Not unless we are training for rejection! And of course your parents remember the long hours it took to perform this valuable training.
Everything you do in this world requires training. However training without proper knowledge or structure will only lead to bad habits.
Training for safety!
Safety is always important is any environment. In training programs safety is built into the information that is presented to you. A good example would be running. To untrained individuals who needed to run while under fire will risk life and limb by flinging themselves through the air in a high speed stumble. While a trained two man team would use covering and moving tactics to leap frog to another location.
Training is very important to SOIF, and any training not done with us is also encouraged. SOIF is a proffessional airsoft team that will take the other teams by great surprise. Below is a few home targets that you can print out for target practice, take advantage over what you can do.
The SOIF training event for this summer has been approved and scheduled for the last day of school plus 3 days and nights. All are encouraged to have their weapons by then, if not, we will make arrangements so that you still get the most out of the training days and nights, come with money (ammount specified and posted later) and a sleeping bag, tents will be set up outside for sleeping, and night battles will be often. Stay tuned for more info.
Urban Courses
| Close Quarter Battle |
CQB is an acronym for Close Quarters Battle. CQB scenarios involve high stress, split decisions, and quick responses. These missions take place in urban environments where a small assault team is required to clear a building of all unfriendliness while avoiding any civilians. These missions have constant face to face action and require split level decisions that mean life or elimination. These battles often are surrounded with many entry ways, that are all possibly guarded. Enemy fire can come from all directions, and the only easy time is getting in.
| Hostage Rescue |
Often times CQB missions require that the teams perform a search to contact and rescue a hostage. These courses are much harder and require more control and teamwork to move on an enemy held position without losing the hostage. The people in these missions must be attentive to details and movements and must be able to protect the hostage at all cost. The mission depends if the person survives, so sacrifices must be made in times of utmost importance.
| VIP Escort |
VIP Escort scenarios. require a high level of attention to detail, and team communications. These missions require the protection of an individual escorted along a street or path. Snipers, grenaders and CQB teams may show up on the enemy sides, escorts must be able to handle each situation carefully to make sure the escorts survive the mission.
| Sniper/ Scout |
This course is sometimes run with other CQB courses. We focus on placing shots in specific areas, providing intelligence to the team and covering the entrance and extraction of the team. Sniping is considered the hardest position in a team. You have be patient in a world where a 3lb tiger pull is all that stands between success and failure. These personell will be completly camoflauged and will at most have a spotter and guard with them. Radio silence to the outside world is important for safety and secrecy, a sniper can be the teams most valuable resource if SOIF trains properly, this possition is no joke or game. |
Field Courses
| Individual Tactics |
True success in a team environment requires every member to know each others job. Teamwork requires that you also know what they are thinking. The ability for a team to be highly innovative in its' operations, starts with developing a foundation of a common shared background. We help you develop these fundamentals to become a true asset to the team. Each person has a single job to perform, and each person must do that job and nothing else unless otherwise instructed by superior. If any case appears that a regular possition is compromised, each member must know at least the generalization of the possition to cover that possition. Individual tactics working as one is the deadliest weapon of all.
| Advanced Squad Tactics |
Highly trained teams of four (bricks) can effectively overwhelm large units which are less trained. These tactics are employed by learning how the enemy will respond and finding their weakest link. You will learn many tactics which we have modified for the airsoft environment. Recon prior to a squad invasion might be needed to find the weakest link. Once found, these select few will be able to split up or work together to trap or surround or overpower the enemy.
| Escape and Evasion |
Escape and Evasion scenarios. offer an excellent opportunity to build confidence and self-esteem. These one-man missions involve traversing through enemy held territory, gathering information and causing the enemy to expend valuable resources without capture. These require high attention to detail, calmness under situations and fire, and knowledge of the area, advanced recon and scouting also may be needed for some missions.
